I am an art director with 17 years of experience. I started my career at Price/Mcnabb in Charlotte, NC. After a few years of on-the-job training that my stint at Portfolio Center/Creative Circus couldn’t have provided, I wandered across town to Loeffler Ketchum Mountjoy. There, Jim Mountjoy, Creative Director of what was a strong print shop at the time, taught me even more about simplicity and concept. After three award-winning years there, I moved back to Atlanta, GA to work with my brother at a small agency called Bayless/Cronin. Jerry Cronin had moved away from Weiden & Kennedy and opened an agency with his friend Tim Bayless. His connections with ESPN allowed for some amazing creative opportunities.
After a couple of years, I met a girl. The next few years are a blur. But, I ended up in NY in 2003 and have spent the last 9 years freelancing, with the exception of 9 months at MRM as Creative Director on Verizon. I’ve met another girl and have two delicious kids and live in Brooklyn near Prospect Park.
While in NY, I have freelanced for: Deutsch, Dimassimo, DDB, Chiat, MRM, Draft/FCB, Ogilvy, Atmosphere/BBDO, G2 and a few others.
I’ve worked on almost every industry except for cars and don’t exclude much besides cigarettes and Big Oil. I’m traditional educated yet digital ready.
